Artificial Synthetic Turf Grass Lawns San Diego Astroturf

Home Turf recommends that you use a leaf blower, vacuum or stiff bristle push broom to remove organic materials such as leafs from your artificial turf grass lawn or putting green.  You may need a rake for bigger objects such as tree branches.  We recommend a stiff bristle push broom for fluffing up the high traffic areas of the artificial turf grassSynthetic/artificial turf grass can get dirty during long periods without rain, so we suggest thoroughly spraying the turf down, though you might feel a little silly watering your synthetic grass.  Weeds may occasionally pop-up along the edge of your artificial turf, and we recommend spraying with a chemical such as Round-Up or just picking the weeds along the artificial/synthetic turf grass border.  Clean up your synthetic turf grass after your pets by removing solid waste as you normally would.  Wash off any remaining debris left on the Astroturf/synthetic/artificial grass with a hose.  If there has been no rain for a long time we suggest you prevent pet odors and dirt by misting the synthetic turf with Simple Green or a “green” household cleaner and thoroughly spray the area down with a hose.  If you own one of our synthetic putting greens, depending on the type of putting green turf you have we suggest different things.  If you have our nylon synthetic putting green you don’t have to do a thing except the basic cleaning described above.  If you own one of our polypropylene synthetic putting greens, we suggest that you use a water roller occasionally to be sure the fibers stay set. Simply remove the flags from the putting green cups and roll right over the putting green cups. .  Even “maintenance free”  synthetic turf requires a little care but this is as good as it gets.  It sure beats the alternative of regular mowing, watering, fertilizing, and paying the gardener.  If you have additional questions about your synthetic grass or putting green please contact Home Turf Synthetic Turf Grass Lawns of San Diego at (800) 966-TURF (8873).

Home Turf sells and installs revolutionary synthetic turf designed with your best interests in mind.  Home Turf is an artificial surface that duplicates the look and feel of real grass blades without the imperfections which is the end product of years of research and development.
While we offer several varieties of
artificial turf grass to best suit your specific situation Home Turf stands out from other artificial turfs on the market.  Home Turf’s fibers are very dense, soft and silky and a beautiful sight to behold.  Our product makes an excellent surface for kids to play on, and not a bad place to fall either.
Unlike traditional
artificial turf, Home Turf doesn’t rely on an underlying shock pad for a natural bounce and product longevity but utilizes a far superior system.  Home Turf’s fibers are surrounded and stabilized by a special blend of rubber and sand.
Rubber is a key component in the Home Turf system.  Recycled rubber tires are cryogenically frozen and shattered into tiny smooth granules which are slightly bigger than grains of sand.  The rubber granules are of such a size that they stay mixed with the sand and planted deep in the turf so they can’t wash away.  We use a greater ratio of rubber to sand in our
synthetic grass product than other artificial turfs on the market which gives us a very distinct feel and you get a non-compactable superior infill.
The end result of our system is a stable, resilient, shock absorbing, uniform and beautiful synthetic turf system.
Home Turf’s fibers are a blend of polyethylene and polypropylene which are UV protected and resistant to extreme temperatures.  Triple layer polyurethane backing is very permeable so it drains faster than real grass.
